Overseas Student Account

In order to facilitate students to pay tuition and various fees in the United States before leaving China, Bank of China New York branch and Bank of China domestic branches jointly provide Overseas Student Account Service for Chinese students who are going to study in U.S. to open account with Bank of China New York branch or Chinatown Branch.

You can also make an inquiry at Bank of China H.O. website at：http://www.boc.cn/pbservice/pb4/200811/t20081120_14095.html to find information about Bank of China domestic branches cooperating with New York Branch and get the application form from the nearest domestic branch for account opening. After fill out the application form, please submit your passport with valid visa, Chinese ID, U.S. College ID or U.S College Entrance Notification to domestic branch for witness.

Bank of China New York Branch will open account for student after receiving witness documents from domestic branch. Chinese student may apply to open Checking Account, NOW Account, Money Market Account, Statement Savings Account, Passbook Savings Account and CD Account.

Personal Debit Card, Credit Card and Internet Banking service can be available when the respective requirements are met by Chinese student after arriving in U.S.A..

In addition, for Chinese students who have arrived in U.S.A., they can also open accounts with Bank of China New York Branch and apply for Personal Debit Card, Credit Card and Internet Banking service.  

留学生账户

    为使留学生在美国支付学费及各种生活费用更加方便，中国银行纽约分行与国内各分支行联合推出留学生账户服务，即赴美留学见证开户服务，使留学生能够在出国前就拥有在中国银行纽约分行或中国城分行的个人账户。

    您也可以登录中国银行总行网站http://www.boc.cn/pbservice/pb4/200811/t20081120_14095.html 查询，查找国内经办网点信息，然后前往就近的中国银行受理网点索取开户申请文件。填好的申请表格，连同您的护照及签证、（中国）身份证、美国大学学生证或美国大学入学通知书提交给受理网点办理申请手续。

    国内行代纽约分行见证赴美留学生开立美元账户文件后，转递纽约分行办理开户并告知申请人账户信息。通过国内行对留学生开户文件的见证，留学生可以在纽约分行开立支票账户、可转让支付指令账户、货币市场账户、活期储蓄对账单账户、活期储蓄存折账户和定期账户。

    到达美国后，符合条件的留学生还可以申请个人借记卡、贷记卡和注册个人网上银行服务。

    另外，已经到达美国的留学生也可以直接联系中国银行纽约分行开立账户，符合条件的还可以申请个人借记卡、贷记卡和注册个人网上银行服务。
