2024 China-U.S. Financial Cooperation Seminars
NewsIn August, Bank of China New York Branch hosted the 2024 “China-U.S. Financial Cooperation Seminar” in Beijing and Shanghai. Over 130 representatives from nearly 40 banks and insurance companies across Greater China, along with delegates from Bank of China’s Head Office, Shanghai Headquarters, New York Branch and affiliates, participated in the events.

This marks the seventh consecutive year that Bank of China New York Branch has hosted its “China-U.S. Financial Cooperation Seminar.” During the opening remarks, EVP Raymond Qiao shared insights on BOC U.S.A.’s experience in business operations, risk management, and compliance. He also addressed the challenges and opportunities arising from the current geopolitical, market, and economic landscape.

This year’s seminar explored various topics, including the macroeconomic environment and developments in the banking sectors of China and the United States. A representative from the Clearing Department provided an overview of BOC U.S.A.’s clearing products and services for financial institutions in the United States and the Greater China. Additionally, a representative from the Legal & Compliance Department outlined U.S. anti-money laundering and sanction compliance requirements. Participants also engaged in in-depth discussions on open topics of mutual interest.

The seminar offered a valuable platform for sharing BOC U.S.A.’s risk management expertise and fostering strategic dialogue on key issues and business opportunities.
