2025 Bank of China New York Branch Cross-Border Financial Services Promotion Sessions

News

In August 2025, Bank of China Limited New York Branch (“BOCNY”) successfully hosted the annual “Cross-Border Financial Services Promotion Sessions” in Beijing and Shenzhen. The events brought together over 130 representatives from nearly 40 policy banks, commercial banks, insurance companies, and Bank of China’s Head Office, New York, as well as other overseas branches and affiliates.

Now in its eighth consecutive year, the sessions serve as a vital platform to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing across the Bank of China network. During the opening remarks, Raymond Qiao, EVP of Bank of China Limited U.S. Branches (“BOCUSA”), shared valuable insights on BOCUSA’s business operations, risk management, and compliance experience. He also highlighted the evolving challenges and opportunities within today’s complex geopolitical, market, and economic environment.

This year’s agenda featured comprehensive discussions on the macroeconomic landscape and recent developments in the banking sectors of both China and the United States. A representative from BOCNY’s Strategy and Research Department provided an in-depth analysis of U.S. macroeconomic trends and banking industry shifts. Meanwhile, the Legal & Compliance Department outlined current U.S. regulatory compliance requirements, and the Financial Institutions Department covered custodial services, product marketing strategies, and risk management practices for financial institution clients. Interactive discussions allowed participants to explore shared interests and emerging topics in greater depth.
