On April 30, the Bank of China Los Angeles Branch successfully hosted the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) promotional event. More than 50 representatives from California’s business community attended the event. The conference was jointly organized by the Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board and Overseas Exhibition & Display Co., Ltd. (OSDEC).

During the event, distinguished guests including Ye Chun, Li Peng, Zoey Wu, Jiang Biao, and Xing Hong delivered remarks. They highlighted the important role of the CIIE in promoting China-U.S. economic cooperation and expressed strong expectations for future collaboration opportunities.

Bank of China, the expo’s sole strategic partner, has supported the Los Angeles promotion event for three consecutive years. At the conference, the Bank emphasized that, as China’s most internationalized and diversified financial institution, it will continue to provide comprehensive financial services and business matchmaking support for participating enterprises. With the support of Bank of China, California companies can leverage the CIIE platform to further explore opportunities in the Chinese market and achieve mutual growth and success.

Since its launch in 2018, the China International Import Expo is the world’s first national-level trade fair dedicated to imports. The annual event serves as a platform for international trade, investment promotion, and business exchange, and has become a centerpiece of China’s broader efforts to expand global economic engagement.

The event attracted representatives from investment promotion agencies, California-based companies, and various business associations across the Greater Los Angeles area. The atmosphere was vibrant and engaging, with participants holding in-depth discussions on how to leverage the CIIE platform to strengthen China-U.S. economic ties and create new opportunities for cooperation.
