Bank of China U.S.A. Leadership Reelected to Lead China General Chamber of Commerce-USA

Bank of China U.S.A. announced today that CEO Wei Hu was elected to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the China General Chamber of Commerce-USA (CGCC). The results of the CGCC general election for the Board of Directors mark a continuation of the legacy of BOC U.S.A. executives leading the non-profit organization representing Chinese enterprises in the U.S. The election was held at the CGCC Annual Members Meeting in Washington, D.C. on June 30. The position of Chairman of the Board was previously held by Chen Xu, then CEO of BOC U.S.A.

“I’m truly honored to have been chosen as the new Chairman of CGCC. I greatly look forward to the opportunity to work closely with my fellow board members in further strengthening U.S.-China business cooperation and CGCC’s mission of bridging U.S. and Chinese business communities,” Mr. Hu remarked.

 

After the election, Chairman Hu presided over the working session of the newly elected CGCC Board of Directors and on the same day held a press conference for the publication of CGCC’s 9th Annual Business Survey on Chinese Enterprises operating in the U.S. He also led the SelectUSA Investment Summit ​​reception, which was attended by more than 200 individuals from nearly every industry and from both Chinese and American enterprises.
