BOC Academy (New York) Launched First Session of “2022 Global Banking Highlights and Key Industry Trends Online Training Series” – Addressing Climate Risk across the Bank

On May 27, the BOC Academy (New York) successfully launched the first session of the "2022 Global Banking Highlights and Key Industry Trends Online Training Series: Addressing Climate Risk Management across the Banks”, jointly with Moody's Analytics. Executives from domestic branches in China and overseas branches actively joined this live session, recording ~1,200 person-times.

 

It was the first time BOC Academy (New York) leveraged Zoom webinar and BOC University Learning Platform broadcasting simultaneously for live training. The course was delivered by Dr. Peiyuan Guo and Dr. Dimitrios Papanastasiou from Moody's Analytics global team of experts.

 

The preparation process of the training series was under the guidance of Head Office’s Education Development Department and received strong support from New York Branch’s executive management. During the training session, the instructors introduced two aspects of climate change risks, the policy requirements and latest market practices of financial markets to address climate change, the best practices for incorporating climate risk management into bank’s risk management frameworks, as well as the impact on credit risk and integration as a result.

 

In the coming months, BOC Academy (New York) will continue to provide courses on topics such as Green Finance, Enterprise Risk Management, Banking Globalization, Digital Finance, and Compliance Management.
