News

On August 17th, the China General Chamber of Commerce – USA (CGCC) and CGCC Foundation hosted “The Path Forward: In Brand We Trust” event at the Bank of China U.S.A. building in New York City.   The event highlighted key findings relating to Brand and Trust from CGCC’s 2022 Business Survey Report and further explored challenges and strategies for Chinese companies operating in the U.S. looking to build brand trust in the market via a panel discussion.

Mr. Wei Hu, CGCC Chairman and President & CEO of Bank of China U.S.A., delivered the keynote speech for the event. He emphasized the importance of the topic by recognizing that a brand that resonates and fosters long-lasting trust with customers and key stakeholders is the strongest insurance against competitive disruptions. A strong brand also provides a solution for potential consumer indifference and the best path to sustainable growth. “While celebrating the optimism and resilience of many Chinese companies operating in the U.S., it is critical at this juncture for Chinese companies to strengthen their brand positioning by clearly demonstrating their comparative advantages, innovative capabilities, and long-term commitment to their stakeholders and the market,” said Chairman Hu.

Experts from Bank of China U.S.A, FTI Consulting and FedEx shared their views on the importance of branding, public perception and communications, as well as and best practices for the disciplines. Approximately 50 representatives from Chinese and American member companies, and outside guests, attended the event.
