Bank of China Earns “Outstanding” Rating on Community Reinvestment Act Evaluation
NewsNew York (July 8, 2025) - Bank of China U.S.A. (BOC U.S.A.) has been awarded the highest rating of “Outstanding” on its recent Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) performance evaluation by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for the New York and Queens branches. This prestigious rating reflects BOC U.S.A.’s strong commitment to meeting the credit needs of the communities in which we do business, including low-and moderate-income neighborhoods.
During the evaluation period of January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2023, the BOC U.S.A. New York Branch invested $15.1 million in qualified investments and grants, demonstrating its commitment to community engagement. These included investments in mortgage-backed securities supporting homeownership of low- and moderate- income families.
The New York branch also provided community development loans that contributed to the creation of more than 15,000 jobs, further supporting strong local economic growth. Beyond financial contributions, bank employees volunteered more than 507 hours in local community development initiatives.
The BOC U.S.A. Queens Branch contributed $26,500 in grants and donations and provided $80.6 million in loans that supported economic and social developments of low- and moderate- income communities. Branch employees also dedicated nearly 27 hours to community development services.
