On August 8 and 9, 2026, the 36th New York Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival took place at Meadow Lake in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens. One of New York City’s premier summer multicultural events, this year’s festival was the largest yet, bringing together more than 180 teams and nearly 1,800 paddlers from across diverse communities. Tens of thousands of spectators attended to enjoy the races and celebrate the city’s rich cultural heritage. Bank of China New York Branch, a long-term partner of the festival, served as a sponsor and once again demonstrated its commitment to "Global Reach, Local Heart" — both on the water and across the event grounds
